Creating the perfect skincare product is often a journey of discovery, trial, and meticulous attention to detail. For me, the creation of Leitin Skincare's Water Bomb Face Cream was exactly that—a quest to develop a moisturiser that catered to my complicated skin needs, which I believe are shared by many others.

As someone with combination skin, I’ve always faced unique challenges. My skin tends to be oily in the summer and dry in the winter, which meant I often found myself switching between a light face lotion for the warmer months and a thicker face cream for the colder months. This switch, however, typically only happened once my skin had already reached an irritating level of dryness, forcing me to rush out and buy a heavier cream to combat the dry, dehydrated skin that winter brings.

Much like Goldilocks searching for the perfect porridge, I was on a mission to create the perfect cream. My checklist was extensive, but necessary. I needed a face cream that could hydrate deeply, be light enough for summer use, yet nourishing enough for winter. Essentially, an all-round face cream that would allow me to do away with seasonal face lotions. The cream needed to absorb well into the skin, avoiding the thick and greasy feel typical of many oil-based skincare products, while including a full set of hydrolipids and surface lipids to maintain and regulate a healthy lipid barrier. It also had to provide a matte finish, a challenge with oil-based formulations. And, of course, it had to feature antioxidant rich Australian native botanicals and peptides to help with aging.

Developing the Water Bomb Cream was a labor of love, driven by my own skincare needs. I set out to create a product that could balance hydration and nourishment all year round, without the need for switching between different products. The cream had to be light yet rich, hydrating without being greasy, and most importantly, effective in maintaining a healthy skin barrier.

After countless formulations and testing, the Water Bomb Cream was born. It’s a versatile face cream that hydrates deeply, thanks to a unique blend of natural botanical lipids and hydrating agents. It absorbs quickly, leaving a matte finish perfect for those with combination skin. The inclusion of Australian native botanicals and peptides provides anti-aging benefits, ensuring the skin remains youthful and radiant.

The Water Bomb Cream embodies everything I sought in a skincare product—hydration, nourishment, a matte finish, and the power of Australian botanicals. It’s designed to meet the needs of all skin types, including those with combination skin, offering a year-round solution that eliminates the need for seasonal skincare switches. This cream isn’t just a product; it’s the result of a journey to find the perfect balance for complicated skin types, and I couldn’t be more proud of the result.
