We prefer keeping chemical exfoliants as a separate product in your skincare routine rather than including them in toners as often seen on the market today. Why? AHA/BHA/PHAs need a low pH, typically between 3-4, to be effective and should only be used 1-3 times per week, depending on skin type and sensitivity.
Toners, on the other hand, are meant to balance the skin's pH to around 5.5 and should be used morning and night as part of your daily routine. Including AHA/BHA/PHAs in a toner can confuse consumers, leading to overuse and potential damage to the skin barrier.
This is why we created our AHA Serum separate from the rest of our range, allowing us to develop a beautiful line of hydrating toners rich in various benefits. Our AHA formulation was guided by the need for something simple, effective, yet gentle for those with sensitive skin. We used a balanced blend of Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Australian Finger Lime, and Bilberry Extract. This combination gently breaks the bonds between skin cells, encouraging even shedding and promoting newer, fresher skin, resulting in a more radiant complexion.
To get effective results you only need to use 1-3 times per week.

- Low pH Formulation -
Maintaining a healthy pH balance for your skin is important, ideally falling within the range of 4.5 to 5.5, which is slightly acidic. When it comes to using AHA's, they are most effective in a pH range of 3 to 4. However, it's worth noting that using these products may temporarily lower your skin's natural pH balance. To address this, we recommend applying low pH formulations such as AHA's immediately after cleansing, allowing them to absorb properly. Following up with a toner will then help restore your skin to its normal pH range, ensuring a well-balanced and healthy complexion.

Every skin is different, depending on skin type we recommend use this product 1-3 times per week. For normal and sensitive skin types, 1-2 times per week is ideal, while those with oily or combination skin may benefit from 2-3 times per week.
Rule of thumb: Your frequency should cease whenever you feel a slight tingle. If you feel a slight tingle after the first day than your frequency is once per week.
Please note that a tingling sensation is not an indicator of the serum's efficacy and should not be sought after. Instead, it signifies your skin's sensitivity to the product.
